I had an incredible raspberry-flavored mochi bun filled with crushed raspberry candy. It’s not only delicious but also adorable, with its pink color and creamy filling dotted with little crunchy candy pieces. It’s easy to enjoy without worrying about your teeth. However, I did have a less-than-pleasant experience with an employee when I asked to sample a dry biscuit, which honestly wasn't even good. Perhaps things have improved since then. Unfortunately, it's not available at Mitsuwa Market anymore, and I'm too lazy to drive far for it. Still, I think that raspberry mochi is definitely worth the trip!
This review focuses solely on the Mochi Ice Cream, not the other desserts. We tried every flavor: mango coconut, matcha, chocolate banana, mint chip, and blueberry. While the flavors were enjoyable, the texture of the mochi was disappointing. It seemed to have been frozen for too long and crumbled when I took a bite. Overall, I liked the taste, but the texture was quite unappealing.
I wasn't assisted or acknowledged immediately when I arrived to the store even though there wasn't any customer. I ended up buying a gift there because I went there for the particular item. I'm not sure if I want to go back there because they weren't exactly friendly and not so hospitable.
This is where I buy the butter cigar cookies that I give as Christmas presents every year. They have Royce chocolates too. Friendly and very helpful staff.
Beware! They resell returned merchandise! Mind you, covid pandemic isn't even over yet! They sold me the wrong mochi flavor so I went back to exchange it out. But to my surprise, they took the returned mochi from me and RESTOCKED it in the fridge to resell. I shall stay away from this place.
