The extensive menu impressed us, and everything we ordered was executed wonderfully! The staff was incredibly friendly, giving off a charming family-owned restaurant vibe. The chicken karaage was perfectly crispy, and the accompanying sauce complemented it beautifully. The Caesar salad was also fantastic! They were very accommodating with my dairy intolerance, providing a great substitute for the tzatziki on the souvlaki wrap. Plus, the prices are very reasonable! The enclosed back patio offers good air conditioning as well. Meal type: Lunch. Price per person: $20–30. Food: 5. Service: 5. Atmosphere: 5. My wife and I were very impresse... read more During my trip to Toronto, I was searching for a great little food spot with vegan options and stumbled upon Utopia Cafe Grill. My wife and I were very impressed with the menu. First and foremost, the vegan options are genuinely vegan! My wife, who is vegan, wanted the Utopia Chicken Club Sandwich but was unsure if the bacon, mayo, chicken, and cheese would be replaced with vegan alternatives. To our delight, they were! Unlike some places that neglect to adapt their dressings or take care in modifying classic recipes, Utopia offers a thoughtful version of the club sandwich for all vegans. As a non-vegan, I was captivated by their surprisingly extensive menu, making it difficult for me to choose. Ultimately, I settled on the Shrimp Burrito, and I can't emphasize enough how right that choice was! It was hot, bursting with flavors, juicy, and generously filled with shrimp. Both dishes came with a side of fries and salad. Kudos to the chef! I also want to highlight the excellent service from the staff, starting from our arrival to the timely replenishing of napkins while I enjoyed my burrito, all the way to the reasonable final bill. I highly recommend this wonderful spot, whether you're vegan or not, if you're just passing through for a day or two or if you're a local in search of something new.
