What User likes about Tohenboku Ramen:
Delicious meal. I recommend the spicy red ramen and gyoza.I liked how you can customize the type of broth (chicken or pork), flavour (sea salt, soy or miso), noodles (thick or thin) and meat (pork belly, pork shoulder or chicken). The service was ok - they forgot the extra egg that I order and staff could be more friendly. Overall a decent dining experience as the food was great. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Tohenboku Ramen:
With so many good Japanese restaurants in Toronto, you should skip this this ramen place. We were looking forward to the don bowls, and were surprised how cheap the prices were ($5). They were cheap for a reason, the don was just a small cup of rice with some mediocre meat on top. I've had better Japanese in food courts. Service was spotty. View all feedback.

Good ramen, good portions, low prices, restaurant well located. I recommend it more for lunch than for dinner.

read moreToronto has an array of Japanese dining options, but this ramen joint isn't worth the hype. Other than cheap prices, the don bowls fell short in quality. Service was lacking. On a brighter note, patrons enjoyed fresh food at fair prices at this laid-back spot. The octopus balls and edamame were highlights. The build-your-own ramen concept drew praise for its customization options. The cozy setting and friendly staff added to the enjoyable dining experience. While the portion sizes weren't generous, the flavors were spot on. Consider giving this place a shot for a casual, personalized meal.
