Delicious meal. I recommend the spicy red ramen and gyoza.I liked how you can customize the type of broth (chicken or pork), flavour (sea salt, soy or miso), noodles (thick or thin) and meat (pork belly, pork shoulder or chicken). The service was ok - they forgot the extra egg that I order and staff could be more friendly. Overall a decent dining experience as the food was great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tohenboku Ramen:
With so many good Japanese restaurants in Toronto, you should skip this this ramen place. We were looking forward to the don bowls, and were surprised how cheap the prices were ($5). They were cheap for a reason, the don was just a small cup of rice with some mediocre meat on top. I've had better Japanese in food courts. Service was spotty. View all feedback.
Good ramen, good portions, low prices, restaurant well located. I recommend it more for lunch than for dinner.

Had dinner out here- not the poshest set up, but fresh food, well and quickly prepared. Particularly good octopus balls and lovely crisp edamame. Two mains plus a 375ml of sake and two sides came to about 60 dollars which we didn't think was bad. Staff really nice, smiley, kept us topped up with water to counteract all the sodium !!
We were going to see Rogue One at the Scotiabank Cinema and decided to drop in here for a first visit. I had the red ramen and Brent had the black ramen. Our tastebuds exploded with the delicate flavours that coated our mouths. The creamy chicken broth flavoured with miso contained noodle, chicken, an egg and seaweed. The perfect blend of flavours and textures is always a pleasant experience. Truly look forward to a return visit. The restaurant is small and busy and the staff are very friendly. Give it a try and I know you will want to return as well.
Went for lunch, was very impressed with the food. Broth is savoury and delicious. Ramen is presented beautifully and is tasty and filling. Seating is limited and no public bathroom, so be aware.
