Was FirstCircle at The Cloak a mag?
We are not really drinkers at all, but still decided to stop in here for some pre-dinner cocktails. We had Le Singe Et La Lune, Kapu Kulu, Havana Port Authority and El Picante. Despite not being too keen on alcohol we loved what we got and would probably come back. The ambience of the place is great, and maybe a little hard to find, but still worth the effort. What Dora C dislikes about The Cloak:
The bar is really beautiful. We arrived there at about 9 o'clock. It was quiet. We ordered 3 beers and the John's burger. It was Unacceptable. UNACCEPTABLE. The worst ever. The fries came cold... We gave them back. After, the brioche bun was 4 days old. The patty was quite possibly warmed in a microwave. I feel really disappointed because I went there for this burger. Huge expectations because of a few recommendation... View all feedback.
Cool little basement speakeasy with good service and nice drinks. A little pricey for what it is, but worth popping into!
Went here with some friends ... great vibe, quaint, excellent service and exceptional cocktails. I would highly recommend it
Went here recently with my girlfriend and we sat at the bar Bar Manager (Aaron) made us a few custom cocktails based on preferences - were great drinks and reasonably priced for downtown Toronto cocktails Vibe and service was very good - would definitely return!
The drinks and food were just okay, but be cautious because they may overcharge you on the bill. The server mistakenly charged us double for each drink, resulting in a bill that was $150 more than it should have been. After pointing out the error to the server, they consulted with their supervisor and manager to correct the bill. However, none of them apologized for the mistake. Overall, it was a terrible experience and we left feeling like we were taken advantage of.
