We occasionally purchase annual passes to Busch Gardens, and this hotel conveniently offers shuttle services to and from the park, making it a favorite choice for us since it's also nearby. One of the main reasons we keep returning to this hotel is its little restaurant on the first floor. This is a big plus for our family, as we typically prefer not to drive anywhere for dinner after a long journey. Additionally, they provide breakfast, which is incredibly helpful when traveling with kids. The omelette station in the breakfast area is a personal favorite—so delicious! They also have a "happy hour" where guests receive two complimentary drinks (beer, wine, or basic mixed drinks) along with finger foods like chips, fruit, cheese, veggies, and hummus, although the offerings can vary from day to day. While the hotel has great potential, it could benefit from some updates since it feels a bit dated, particularly in terms of the carpeting and some wall paint.
Where to even start. We are frequent flyers at Embassy hotels and they are usually oretty good (which is why we go back). This one is yhe sole exception. This place was just a huge disappointment. Startint with the front desk there was never ebough staff. I never saw more than one person at the desk and always at l4ast 5 people waiting in line. Only 4 of the 9 lights in the elevator worked. What does that have to do with me you might ask? If thats how they present their front to guests imagine yhe rooms. And boy did they not surprise you there. There was mold growing in the shower in multiple locations, multiple lights in the room did not work, the hotel lost power on Saturday, the staff was extremely unprofessional gossiping in loud voices their disapproval of a supposedly recently fired coworker. To be honest we couldn't wait to leave but given that we had paid with points and it was USF graduation weekend our choices were limited.
