I have been to El Rey 3 times in the past few months, and my first visit was an-after- dinner visit, so I only got the chance to dive into their Mezcal menu, which on its own is worthy of a visit to this establishment. What User doesn't like about El Rey Mezcal Bar:
Enjoyed a star studded dinner and top notch service at Grey Gardens last night and wanted to top things off with a shot of tequila. So we headed down the street and around the corner to El Ray. Seemed promising - not a large tequila selection but it is a mescal bar after all. In any event, the snooty bartender put a real damper on things. He needs to dial back on the attitude. I guess he forgot that he is in the cust... View all feedback.

The service is excellent and friendly with every member of the crew extremely knowledgeable about the menu and all types of Mezcal on offer. We were with a few friends and let the host guide us through the Mezcal tasting experience, and we were extremely happy with their choices. Will be coming back for sure.
This is bar with pedigree, with a very nice patio. Nice music, easy to hang out...if all you want to do is drink! Small menu of very delicious and well-priced tostadas and snacks. No coffee....just drinks! I think it could be enhanced with a small espresso machine and a broader selection of snacks - pick up some of the amazing ones from your sibling....Bar Raval!
This Bar offers a good selection of cocktails, beers, snacks, and even desserts and alcohol free refreshments. Service is fast and very friendly. They also accommodate separate bills for groups without any problems.
Finally got a chance to try this place, and it was pretty satisfying. Didn't care much for the bar snacks menu, which I thought was kinda weak, but the Tostadas were all excellent and reasonably priced. Didn't get a chance to try any Mezcals, but the list looked good. I opted for a few Micheladas, which were very tasty. Hope this place lasts longer than the current Mezcal fad ;)
Small, colourful, funky with wooden benches on the front. Perfect place to meet friends on a weekend. Serves Latin America small food n drinks. Ive tried only a couple of their cocktails. The Ceasar /**** Mary -like one was too salty n spicy the second was quite refreshing. When it comes to food, judging from its appearence and presentation it must taste eaqually good. Prices are ok for a hood bar.The day I visited weather was moody with rain showers so we couldnt enjoy fully the ooutdoor seating. Bar interior is very warm and stuff friendly and attentive.Would try it again if in TO.
