For our main courses, we ordered the hake and ribs. The ribs were tasty but lacked a unique flavor profile. The hake was also fresh-tasting, yet the flavors didn't offer anything new. Dessert was the most divisive part of the meal. The fruit salad seemed like something I could easily prepare at home, but the mousse was fantastic. Overall, the food was a mixed bag.
Made a reservation for Summerlicious 2014 the 3 course pre fixe for $35 was a great value. The salmon tartare with Yuzu was fresh and crisp, the braised ribs were mouthwatering and the panna cotta was beautifully balanced with a Yuzu salsa. The waitress was very knowledgeable and the drink availability was pleasantly suprising (I had a local Torono cider). Will return for sure!
Went for the Summerlicious dinner menu and was disappointed. Portion size are small tapas there was not enough food for dinner (and I don't have an overlarge appetite). Had the vegetarian main (Kong Go Gi) and it was bad. The visual was like a cheap processed burger, the taste was bland but the texture was the worst (sludge). Ended up skipping the dessert because we were so underwhelmed. Would not recommend or go back.
My friend and I chose to have dinner there last Saturday before a Secret Society and friend's birthday event, and the food was incredible. The staff was fantastic too! I also appreciate that they serve St. Germain. The music and atmosphere were outstanding. It was truly one of the best nights I've had in a long time.
Food was fresh, modern and unique. I loved the tomato salad, the vegetarian noodles (green! and the custard was absolutely delicious. Menu is small but every choice is a great one. Only complaint is that I felt service was a little slow. We did not order drinks so I cannot comment on that.
At this recently transformed venue, diners are greeted with an intriguing blend of modern Asian fusion cuisine and a chic atmosphere that captivates. While the restaurant's shift from French gastro to Asian influenced some patrons’ expectations, the intimate setting and attentive service made for an enjoyable experience overall. The diverse menu, though small, features standouts like salmon tartare and short ribs, alongside delicious vegetarian noodles and a delectable custard. While some dishes lacked a distinctive flavor and dessert received mixed reviews, the overall fresh and modern food, combined with a vibrant ambiance, ensures memorable dining for groups and dates alike.
