El Chilar Mexican - Topeka

There were several items on the menu that caught my eye, and I was thrilled to see Chili Colorado offered, as it’s not commonly found in many places. I decided to go with the Chili Verde, while my wife chose the roasted pan taco dinner. Both meals came with beans and rice, and we were impressed with the presentation. Our dishes were served hot and looked fantastic. The meat in the Chili Verde was cooked perfectly, and the aroma was delightful. My wife commented that her chicken taco was also excellent, well-seasoned, and expertly prepared. The business was a bit slow tonight, and the owner mentioned that the snow was impacting their customer flow. However, to me, that's a good sign. If a small restaurant can maintain such high-quality food in a slow season, it speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend El Chilar, and I look forward to trying the Chili Colorado on our next visit.

Amazing food and even better hospitality.. The owner makes the culinary experience super. Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city. Fajitas Cancun was delicious
