Went there about a year ago. Steak was small and I ordered the largest they had. It appeared that yes although a 22oz it was wide and flat to appear large. A thicker steak holds flavor better even with a bad head cook. I just called to see if by chance they had changed this, asked where they got their beef and the person that answered the phone had no knowledge of any of my questions. What farm, locally sourced or a frozen chain, grass fed or Milo. These are things that the person answers the phone should be able to Answer with ease. I understand that Topeka does not have a lot of good restaurants, but for the reputation they have and the way they taught themselves on television they should be one of the best of the best, and they clearly are not. The owners need to go to J Gilbert’s, Eddie V’s, McCormick and Schmicks, capital grill on the plaza to get an idea of what people who want a great steak are after. They surely don’t serve it.
I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good! I’ve heard people recommend this place for a while, and now I totally get why. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly nice and attentive. Our food took a bit longer than expected, but they followed up on it quickly, which I really appreciated. I ordered the fish and chips, fried mushrooms, French fries, and a root beer — everything was seriously delicious! It turned out to be one of the best dinners I’ve had in a while. If you’re ever in Topeka, this is definitely a must-try spot! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I travel around the country mostly for work and always hit the local breweries. This place is absolutely top 5 if not top 3. Atmosphere phenomenal, food great. Beer was plentiful and top notch. They sell merchandise and give proceeds from beer sales to the Sumatran Tigers. Cannot go wrong here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I love Blind Tiger food and atmosphere. I live in Wichita but every time I am in Topeka, I stop by to eat. I love everything I have tried but my favorite is the huge stuffed mushrooms! You have to go try them! Not a fast food restaurant at all butthey do their best.
One of the strangest and most absolutely glorious dining experiences of my life. Josh is a bold and beautiful individual. The bacon cheese fries were the most truly unfathomable serving size I?ve ever seen. Beer selection is excellent and Josh had theprofiles down to a tee. I never expected to have such an intellectual conversation about chimps and ducks, but he is an expertin both. If I ever come back, I?m bringing a broadsword.
