It is recommended to come earlier in the day to try a variety of options as they sell out by the end of the day. Definitely visit this restaurant when you are in Koganei! The Hand is one of the best vegan restaurants in Tokyo! Nishimaki-san consistently uses local and seasonal vegetables in their kitchen to create delicious and satisfying dishes. The portions are generous and bursting with flavor. I especially enjoy the traditional tatami seating and low tables for a cozy dining experience. For those who prefer standing tables, they are also available. The restaurant closes at 6 pm, but it is recommended to make a reservation for lunch or for a visit after lunch as they may run out of food before closing time due to high demand. Sweet lunch usually doesn't make me full, but nishimaki gohans rag is filled with different types of court and they can be filled with it! I loved deep fried ko-ya tofu. the atmosphere of the restaurant is like the sweet home of her friend.
I have only tried Nishimaki Gohan's food once through takeout, but it was absolutely delicious! I am a big fan of vegan teishoku, but unfortunately, one of my favorite spots closed down about two years ago and it's far from where I live. Luckily, Nishimaki Gohan is nearby and still open for business! I can't wait to eventually dine in at the restaurant, but for now, I am sticking to takeout.
A charming vegan restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. We tried the chef's daily lunch menu, which included a variety of hot and cold dishes on a platter. The deep-fried soy meat was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The other small items were also very tasty. We also enjoyed a hot soya chai tea, which was impressive with just the right balance of spices and sweetness. The owner suggested calling ahead to check the menu and expected wait time. They also offer wholesome snacks for sale. The restaurant had a cute and peaceful ambiance overall.
