this place has a really nice atmosphere. I would rate it a little more on the expensive side and eating is good, but the portions are quite small. also: this is not bibimbap. View all feedback.
In terms of the food, it was mediocre. Some dishes were good, others were just okay. However, I have to give credit for the speedy service. It's a shame that such a unique place has had to conform so much to Western culture; with a few minor adjustments, this place could be fantastic. Overall, the experience was fine.
It was a real treat to visit this restaurant. A group of us went here on a Friday evening after work. There weren't any tourists, so it wasn't crowded. The food was fantastic and the service was good. The staff were very helpful. However, we didn't see the bill.
This restaurant is well-known for being featured in the movie "Kill Bill" and is a favorite spot among celebrities. We decided to dine on the third floor, where they specialize in sushi and Californian rolls, overlooking their lovely terrace. It's a perfect spot to enjoy the summer weather. As we were celebrating my birthday, the staff surprised us with a delightful dessert plate. The evening was fantastic - the sushi rolls were delicious, the tofu was very good, their specialty edamame was excellent, and the desserts were amazing!
Food and service were both good. The zenzai dessert was just delicious. Here we found staff with a much better than average level of English compared to other restaurants in Tokyo/Japan as a result there is a slightly less local vibe.
Very cool spot! This restaurant inspired a couple scenes in the movie Kill Bill. It's a very busy spot so get reservations! If you are a solo traveler you have to call to make a reservation for one. (corrected) BUT I walked in and was seated within 5min since there are ample spots at the bar. You are right in the thick of it too! Oh and the food was excellent as well! (If you ask nicely they will let you see the rooftop terrace where another scene was inspired from the movie)
