Macgochans - Tobermory, Isle of Mull

Great restaurant and super nice employees. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. The burger could have been juicier, but unfortunately the patty was very dry. And everything could be a little more seasoned. But that's a matter of taste. We were told when we arrived that this restaurant was normally very busy, after getting seated we discovered why. The staff is friendly and the food was plentaful. Being in the area for three nights, we had time to try a few of their specialties including Beer Battered Haddock, Cheese Burger (note for health safety, burgers are well done) and Steak Pie. There is a wide selection of local brews and if whiskey is your drink of choice, I'd suggest trying a dram from the Tobermory Distillery.

I had the champion burger from the specials menu. It was pricier than normal for a burger. But considering the location and how great it tasted. I can't complain. Also very filling. The standard menu seems pretty good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and plenty of customers.
