We went to Mullixhiu because it was recommended on multiple influencer blogs. Not to mention, the chef Bledar Kola and his previous experiences. I can only describe the fine dining experience as disappointing and a particular embarrassment if you were a chef fronting it. Even though the website stated it would be available, no ala carte menu was available, staff said it wasn 't available for dinners, even though that was incorrect. The website disagrees with the staff. So the tasting menu it was! The booking was made as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend, and it was mentioned both in the booking, during the whatsapp confirmation and when I checked-in at the restaurant. Birthday surprise was even highlighted in the computer. Yet the team didn 't even recognise it, forget do anything like a candle on the desert at the end of the day or try to make the event at all memorable. This itself is a hospitality failure, not to mention a very poor service element. Then the staff asked for service Bill does not include service . Really? We were informed that no white wine by the glass was available, and that in the 36 degree heat, red wine would be the only option. We bought a bottle of white wine, which was very good (hence the 1 star) but considering this was a fine dining restaurant, no attempt to showcase different wine, via a tasting menu or just the ability to try wine before you commit to a bottle were there. The food was poor. Salad was tepid and warm temperature, like it was sat prepared in the heat. The meatballs in the soup felt like they had been pre prepped a day ago, yanked in just before serving, mine hadn 't even got submerged fully so you could see how dry it was. Only the Qifqi and Quail course seemed like they were freshly prepared, and easily a 4.5/5. The trout was a good 4/5 and the rest were 1-2/5 at best. The bread was so dry that it was warped at the edges, served dry, cold and without any butter (Albanian butter was supposedly famous), and funnily was charged on the bill even without asking. I don 't mind paying, but I 've had supermarket and aeroplane bread, better than this. The staff had bought out the beef course for another table, realising they were still eating, then went back in and bought out 4 mins later for us. It was dry and rubbery, not to mention the cold. I am not sure how any of this was served. The desert was probably the biggest let down, all show and no substance. The milk ice cream had been put in the boza by the waiter (we could see it) around 20mins prior to the serving. The milk tart was ok, but had been sitting there for atleast 3 hrs. The ice cream had melted and the whole thing was just disgusting. This after having had excellent ice cream and Boze in town the previous day, it was abysmal. Poor! Overall I feel robbed. Not of money, but of a birthday experience, of an Albanian experience, I 'll never get back, of a meal in Tirana which could 've been much better, but was wasted at this restaurant of glory of a bygone era. Sitting somewhere between canteen food and an unmemorable experience, you sit and wonder how long will this charade continue. Finally, not affecting the rating, it was super hot in the outside area, only 1 fan was working. Service was ok but not memorable. Avoid, and pick a place that values the food it puts out. There are hundreds in Tirana, small family run spots I would 've swapped this meal with. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ALL 4,500–5,000 Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible

This restaurant experience was truly exciting and interesting, leaving a lasting impression on us. One standout dish was the Linguine with blueberries, a unique and delicious combination that we had never encountered before. The quality of the meat was exceptional and the Albanian wines paired perfectly with our fabulous dinner. This is definitely a must-visit restaurant!

The food is outstanding, the ambiance is one-of-a-kind, and the restaurant is located in a vibrant city with plenty of innovative dining options. I highly recommend trying the Metamorphosis menu.

TOp notch restaurant! The dishes are unique and tasty, plus you have the optional set menus to sample a bit of the cuisine, which is a great introduction to the tastes of Albania. Their house wine is actually good as well, not common in Albania. The goat was particularly good and the freshness of the ingredients came out in the dishes for everyone in our party. Kudos! Well worth the try after all the normal Albanian fare.

Outstanding! The goat cheese and leek pie was sublime, as was the roast baby goat. The house red wine was a perfect match for the blueberry sauce with the goat.
