What User doesn't like about The Rooms:
I think I accidentally order a traditional dish with leber. the description says only meat in the inner, it is really hard to know what exactly that is, it would have been easier to use only the kuh / lamb organ / fiber. I really don't like this little traditional dish and I also order thia lamming frames, but compare them with era and Tymi version, it doesn't taste that much grilled aroma. have super high expectatio... Cozy place with delicious food. Totally recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We went for the reviews, but it was not the best experience in Tirana! Most of the restaurants we found in Tirana were excellent and with very good prices, unfortunately The Rooms did not do very well for us. We ordered a starter and a main dish and what remained in my memory was the excess salt in the starter (I had to eat with a lot of bread to get it) and the few shrimp in the main dish, if I counted three it wasn't four. The price-quality ratio is not worth it. There are many restaurants in the same area that for the same price you get really good things. Regarding the atmosphere, the smell of cat excrement inside the restaurant left me uncomfortable, so we had to sit outside. When asking the attendant he only stated that they do indeed allow cats to circulate there. Atmosphere, food and price were not worth the trip.
Compared to other restaurants in Tirana, I would be less likely to visit Rooms again. We were most disappointed with the food, although the starters were still good, the risotto was cooked with long grain rice instead of risotto rice. Service was slow but friendly and a glass of Albanian wine could be had for around 4 euros. Overall, it's a little more expensive and there are better alternatives. Food: 3
They are not prepared for gluten-free, contrary to what I had read in other reviews, the waiter speaks Italian, but believes that gluten-free means lactose-free. There is no gluten-free bread or substitutes. The raw materials are evidently of high quality but the preparatory capacity is somewhat dubious. We took typical and recommended dishes: lamb in various forms, a veal casserole, stuffed aubergines and garlic and chilli prawns. On average everything is at an acceptable level but in essence I think it is a highly overrated place. Presentations of the dishes, some beautiful, others 'demotivating ', leaving one perplexed and the cooking to be reviewed. A positive note that makes the semifreddo and the red wine by the glass deserve a pass, which I found spectacular.
We decided to dine at this restaurant based on its reputation for serving authentic Albanian cuisine. The atmosphere is chic and sophisticated, not what one would typically expect for this type of cuisine. Although the menu didn't offer a wide variety of traditional dishes, we were impressed with the attentive and friendly waiter and staff. They also spoke Italian, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience for dinner.
