I stayed for one night before heading to the races and had dinner in the bar area, which was excellent. We've eaten at many places, but the steak with peppercorn sauce and fish and chips were absolutely delicious—truly the best we've ever had! The en-suite double room was spotless and well-equipped with tea, coffee, and biscuits. Breakfast was also perfect and plentiful. We even received a packed lunch! The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5.

The breakfasts were delicious, featuring butcher's sausage, bacon, high-quality eggs, tomatoes, and mushrooms—quite filling enough to last us until dinner. The evening meals were equally impressive, with wholesome, home-cooked dishes, including amazing fish and chips! Barry and Sue were wonderful hosts; they were friendly and genuinely interested in our daily plans. The evening staff we encountered were also very pleasant and attentive. Our rooms were bright, airy, and impeccably clean. The tea tray was stocked with a variety of teas and coffee, along with a packet of biscuits, and it was a nice touch that everything was replenished daily, unlike some hotels. The bar had a charming, traditional feel, creating a pleasant atmosphere for our dinners. In fact, we chose to dine at the hotel every night during our stay. Overall, our experience was fantastic: Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Stunning views, great value.
