Came here for a memorial of a family member. Had heard about how wonderful the food was. We were treated to a selected buffet. Come to learn the family have other Chinese places around Thunder Bay but this is considered the best. Excellent Won Tons!!!!! Chicken Balls were thin battered with huge tender chicken. Fried rice was fresh and full of flavor. Egg rolls were only reason I gave it 4 out of 5....they were NOT fresh made but definitely packaged. While the shell was crisp and fresh, the inside tasted like typical Canadian frozen filler. The Bon Bons AKA seasoned riblets were nice and unexpected in taste. The veggies and beef were fresh, tender beef and alot of all veggies, not just onions as many other places do. They offer take out and next visit will order to go.
True. but this is one of the best chines food spots in the city. and it is run by one of the nicest guys around. you don't have to be a member to eat here so if you are in the neighbourhood, stop in for a fantastic lunch or dinner
The soups are excellent value as are the specials but the wontons are the best we've ever eaten. Because they use very little batter you don't have to search for the meat in the chicken balls as is the case with many Chinese restaurants. Many locals use this restaurant as their regular lunch location and there might even be some curling going on for your entertainment.
Worst chinese food ever! The deep fried foods were almost black. The vegetables in the stir frys were raw.
