The Old Barn Inn - Three Cocks
The Old Barn Inn
Description
Nestled in a charming building with modern amenities, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience marked by warm service and an inviting atmosphere. Many patrons appreciate the tasty dishes, particularly the standout triple-cooked chips and hearty Sunday lunches. However, some reviews highlight inconsistencies in food quality, such as soggy fries and portion sizes that seem to diminish over time. Despite these drawbacks, the friendly staff and pleasant surroundings, including a scenic beer garden and ample parking, contribute to its overall appeal. While prices are noted to range from £10 to £30 per person, the restaurant remains a worthwhile stop for both casual visitors and return guests.

The restaurant had a limited staff, but all our dishes arrived promptly and the food was delicious. I would definitely return again.
My two adult sons and I enjoyed a delicious three-course Sunday lunch on a very hot afternoon during the July 2022 heatwave. We had a reserved table in the shade, which was a welcome relief from the sun. The food was excellent and every staff member was incredibly polite. It was a great overall experience, from the different parking options at the beginning to the wheelchair access facilities at the end. The restaurant is located in a charming old building with plenty of character, but also has modern amenities. We will definitely return when in the area again.
Large car park. Bit of a beer garden and a decked area was busy around 5 ish so maybe worth reserving a table. Shown our table drinks arrived quickly. Ordered the southern fried butterfly chicken with mushroom sauce. Arrived quickly and the triple cooked chips were definitely the highlight .
The restaurant offered excellent meals and service. We found it surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. Average price per person is £20-30. Food and service both scored a 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 4.
