Geneva seems to have many restaurants serving beefsteaks and fries. Au Pied de Cochon, in the very center of the city's old town perched atop a hill, held out hope for a change of pace. We spontaneously went out to eat around 8 p.m. The restaurant has an interesting look with all the tiles on the wall. The waiter was alone with a good 10 tables, but he handled it excellently with professionalism, friendliness and speed. The food was tasty and sufficient. The ribs were buttery tender.
