The dining experience at this restaurant is incredible. We visited while in the city and had breakfast twice and dinner one night. Every dish we tried was delicious and the service was excellent. View all feedback.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem the morning after camping in the Monongahela National Forest. It appears that the Gas House and Café has new ownership in the past few years. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was amazing. My son enjoyed the bright morning platter while I opted for the biscuits and gravy. The blueberry pancakes were large and fluffy, and the bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. The portion size of the biscuits and gravy was huge, and it was truly one of the best dishes I've ever had, coming from someone who grew up in Appalachia. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients was evident. Be sure to try their Ethiopian coffee blend, I had multiple refills. While it may be a bit pricey for some, it is definitely worth it! If you're in the area looking for a breakfast spot, this is the place to go.
