Wicked Wilderness Pub - Davis
Wicked Wilderness Pub
Description
Nestled in the heart of Davis, this restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere with a mix of hits and misses when it comes to food and service. While some patrons enjoy the cozy vibe and friendly staff, others express disappointment over rules that deter large groups, leading to missed revenue opportunities. Menu items like the chicken pot pie and hamburgers receive mixed reviews for quality and preparation, with some dishes described as bland or poorly cooked. Despite these challenges, patrons recommend specialties like the broccoli cheddar soup and appreciate occasional live music, making it a casual spot for a laid-back outing.

For a hole in the wall in a tiny town it was surprisingly good. The food was solid, we had pulled pork sandwich, the chicken pot pie, and a burger and they were all excellent oh and the trout dip was really good too. Decent beers on tap and the game was on, can't ask for more than that. Menu was actually a little too small, which is a rare problem these days but I felt it needed a couple more apps and a couple more entrees to pick from. Maybe that's just me. If you're in town for a couple days give this place a go, I would go back for sure.
The food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely return. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips
Great place to eat. Great atmosphere. They had a live band going. We had the home made pot pie which was amazing and their crab cake appetizer. The biscuit that came with pot pie was more than sufficient, the only thing was the pot pie itself was not proportionate to the biscuit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
We stopped in for a bite between adventures yesterday and it was great!! The service was so good and the food really hit the spot!
Wicked Wilderness Pub in Davis is an absolute must visit! I was immediately drawn in by the specials board featuring Crab Bombs and Peach Cobbler. The Crab Bombs were an unexpected delight – a perfect blend of crispy exterior and flavorful crab cake interior, wrapped up in a deep fried ball. Our first night, I couldn't resist the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos. The sauce was a fantastic blend of flavors with a subtle smoky kick. The tacos were packed with shrimp and toppings, leaving me full, but not too full for cobbler. Home baked with fresh peaches, covered with rum sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream wickedly delicious! On our second visit, the chicken pot pie was comfort food perfection. The rich, buttery sauce, rainbow of veggies and generous chunks of chicken made it a standout dish. The staff was friendly and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. They even let us know about a concert at one of the local horse stables on Saturday night! Both of my Long Island Iced Teas were tasty and perfectly poured. The pub's atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy delicious food after an adventurous day in the mountains. Highly recommend!
