Was Kelsie Briggs at Fiddleheads a mag?
We stopped for coffee on our way out of town, and WOW. The atmosphere was comfortable and peaceful, the people were friendly, and the food was INCREDIBLE. We got an iced dirty Chai with oatmilk, a blended white mocha (like a coffee milkshake), the Buffalo chicken melt, and the avocado and egg croissant; there was not a single thing we didn 't happy food dance over. I can 't do this place justice when I say it is the... View all feedback.
What Ken Wagman dislikes about Fiddleheads:
Very friendly. Quick wait times. Excellent coffee. I ordered espresso, the crema was spot on and flavorful without bite or acidic aftertaste. The other member in our party ordered a frappe which was spot on. Unfortunately, way not handicapped accessible at all. Signage doesn't direct where accessible entry or seating is available. Walking up several stairs with a walker is not safe. After leaving we figured out that... View all feedback.
First time here. From out of state. Smallish parking lot can be tricky to navigate if mostly full. I think the outside needs some updating. Liked the menu and that breakfast can be ordered any time. The 2 girls working were nice. Not a lot of tables inside. Less of an issue when outdoor seating is available based on weather. We found it odd to see a couple (or 2 friends? in a back corner, lounging as if they were at home. On one side of the table is a long built in bench from what I could tell. One was mostly laying on it with the other leaning up against the other. With blankets. It was awkward and felt as if we were intruding. Looked as if they'd been there awhile. We went outside. Since we'd never been before, we didn't know to go around the corner to wait for them to put our drinks up on the counter. Waited at our table and when we decided to go check on drinks, I passed the girl bringing our food out. My daughter's strawberry lemonade was actually strawberry tea, so I took it in to get fixed and waited for them to make it while my food sat outside. My Italian soda had no cream and needed more raspberry syrup. I wouldn't have known it was a pesto chicken sandwich bc there was so little pesto. The chicken tasted like it wasn't seasoned not even with s p. Ordered an almond poppy seed muffin and an orange ginger cookie and they were great. It's cramped if several people arrive at once and causes doors and bathroom to be blocked. I felt that they needed more than 2 people working. Went at 3:00 on a Saturday.
The original Fiddleheads , a magical place on the Milwaukee River. It has grown well over the years; not just in size, but in elegance. Cleverly arranged outside seating on the river and an all-weather patio. The coffee is always good and the baked goods as well.
Really good coffee and food. Love the spot for the convenience and the ambiance.
