Happy Lamb Hot Pot

This is a place you cna try a veyr authentic Mongolian hot pot. Once we found this place, we stoped going other places for hot pot.

We were in town for a short visit and wanted to visit this old favorite. They are running a summertime all you can eat special with specific items but we always order off the menu to get what we like. They are also running a $2.00 special on beer which I definitely took advantage off. We started with the Mongolia kim chee as an appetizer to tied us over while getting the family settled and main course decided. Very tasty and all was eaten. We ordered several vegetables, lamb and rib eye which we cooked in a divided pot with spicy broth on both sides. Divided to cook lamb, mushrooms and a couple other things on one side. Also, we ordered a take out order for lunch the next day which they prepared in the back Food was very good and service was excellent. It was good to catch up with one of the old staff we've known for years.

After passing by for a year I finally decided to try this place with my visiting brother and sister-in-law. The concept seemed great so we gave it a try. I just didn't like it. There wasn't much flavor in the broths and there was something very tart and strange that threw the taste off completely. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but we didn't have a good experience at all. My brother and his wife ended up leaving after tasting everything. I stayed to try to get a little bang for my buck. At least I was able to quench my curiosity.

This was amazing, the spicy is REALLY spicy... try it all the flat noodles are hard to eat. Everything is really good and tastes

We tried the mixed broth option and it was an amazingly tasty, delicious experience, Absolutely stunning flavour in the spicy broth and the corn was delicious, Would love to go there again !!
