The portion size was mor... read more What an amazing Fish and Chip shop in Minster Village. We ordered the large cod and chips twice and sausage and chips for our children. The portion size was more then generous, very hot and very tasty. Ronnie, Natalia and Alex all very lovely and the atmosphere was great and very welcoming. The children loved their chippy chips and we will definitely return in the future. I would definitely recommend whether your local or travelling through Minster to stop off and sample Archies Fish chips. Sausage was goo... read more Was looking forward to trying this chippy out as had heard good things. All hot and freshly cooked. I had Haddock, a battered sausage and chips. Sausage was good, chips were good, batter on the haddock was nice and crispy but the haddock had no flavour at all. I love haddock because of its sweet flavour but this was tasteless. Very strange as never had a tasteless haddock before. The staff were nice and friendly. Brilliant food, lovley family run business, very friendly very hospitable felt like home from home ,food was lovley big portions all cooked fresh, The area has... read more Brilliant food, lovley family run business, very friendly very hospitable felt like home from home ,food was lovley big portions all cooked fresh, The area has road works at the min so it's a bit tricky to get too.but well worth checking out, The are more then enough food places and shops and pubs in the area, But we came for fish and chips and that's exactly what we got ,we had some freebies Inc so very very nice and totally unexpected. we will go back and take the children very soon for a meal in the restaurant it's nice modern and child friendly. you won't be disappointed If your looking for a good traditional fish and chip meal. prices were pretty much the same as anyware else ,but food was cooked to perfection and the cod was good and a good size .There are some meal deals to be had at certain times of the day so well worth checking them, once you arrive.
