Attentive. Had a cosy table. Asked for them to put a ballon at the table (popped in beforehand). Was a strange reception, as though it was too much trouble. On the evening, was good but no special attention (nor asked). It’s been a while since we’ve been to the Thatch as found it quite flat. Hesse soufflé barely warm but rump and chips and scampi was ok.

The food was amazing, went on Steak night... read more We enjoyed the whole experience of the meal, it is such a warm and friendly place with so much history and character. The food was amazing, went on Steak night (Thursday) and the choices of different cuts of meat, sauces and sides were great. All four of us enjoyed our meals and had with different combos of sides, starters and main meals which was great. The service was fantastic again and has been on all three occasions we have previously visited. Definitely recommend to anyone.
