Paradise Chinese Restaurant

I 've been here with friends and family many times over the last 10yrs. We often go for special occasions and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. The outlook over the golf driving range makes for a pleasant change especially at sunset when one often see 's small kangaroo 's on the range and, it 's fairly quiet as opposed to many restaurants that seem so noisy. Medium prices, largish portion sizes and a low corkage fee; there 's also a good lunch menu with specials to cater to most that include various dishes with rice and a drink for under $20. Especially suitable for the elderly as there 's plenty of parking as well as disability parking with a fairly flat level entry. Also great for kids including big kids who like us have on occasion combined dining with a game of mini putt putt golf; of course there 's also the golf driving range for the more 'serious ' golfer. The outdoor golfing area is a bit run down at present as are many places due to the recent floods. Although Victor the manager and his team will go above and beyond on special occasions with genuine friendly warm service taking photo 's of us/ providing birthday atmosphere and candles for desserts and so on, table service can be a bit hit and miss when busy; is often busy so best to book.

We arrived at around 7:20pm and politely asked the restaurant how long they’d be serving food for as we wanted to play a round of golf before eating. The server seemed annoyed by this and scolded us about the kitchen closing at 8:45, but begrudgingly told us that we could come back at 8pm and that would be fine. When my boyfriend and I came back at 8pm, we sat down at a table and the unwelcoming and clearly hostile server told us we had to move to a smaller table in the corner, we couldn’t understand why, as they weren’t expecting more customers and they were closing soon, so we asked if we could stay seated where we were, but the server bluntly said no grunting and grumbling he picked up our menus and moved us to a smaller table in the corner. Before even getting a chance to look at the menu he rudely and abruptly asks us what we want to order while repeatedly checking his watch. Feeling very pressured I make a rushed decision and he takes the menus from our hands immediately. To top it all off, midway through eating our meal he comes over with the eftpos machine for us to pay, at this point we had quite enough of this terrible treatment and my boyfriend told him that he has very rude to us, He didn’t in the slightest seem apologetic and brushed it off by telling us we needed to pay for our meal. All in all, the food was decent but the way we were treated was completely and utterly unacceptable.

I am a huge foodie. And if you like classic 80’s Chinese this is the go to.. an excellent range of dishes and that’s are very flavoursome. Service is excellent as Victor remembers your name and preferred drink of choice. The kids go hit some golf balls and then come in for a meal. Excellent night out

Four of us dined here for dinner and it was very disappointing. It was expensive for very average food, all served on a vinyl table cloth! I have has the limited, basic lunch deal and it was better.

My mate and I regularly patronize this restaurant. We find the service from Victor and his staff to be first class. The food is excellent and we thoroughly recommend the restaurant.
