We were v impressed with a light lunch on our first visit and decided to follow up with a lakeside evening meal. We were not disappointed! Service was wonderful, despite us speaking no Italian and the staff not speaking English, they tried so hard and made our evening thoroughly enjoyable. Stunning lakeside views matched only by the quality of the food. I hadn't had Octopus carpaccio before, but it was amazing. The ravioli and lake fish tagliatelle was similarly wonderful and the tiramisu was the best we had whilst on our Umbrian holiday. And all for a surprisingly reasonable price. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the area!

We were recommended this place by a local and after looking at a few different restaurants we went for this one because it had beautiful views of the lake. Unfortunately that is where the good bit ends and the horror begins. We began by ordering the bruschetta, which is a nice safe way to begin a meal and being in Italy it is one of the things impossible to get wrong.......until you get to this place! They basically used traditional Italian bread which families serve at their tables rather than a lighter, better quality bread which is more suited to bruschetta, put it in the oven and baked it until it was hard enought to require a new set of teeth after trying to take a bite, threw some olive oil at it, and then put one clove of garlic on a cocktail stick in the centre of the plate with some green leaves (rocket I believe)! It was disgusting! As an Italian myself I felt ashamed of what had been presented here and felt sorry for any tourists coming here as they wold get a terrible impression of Italian cuisine! If we had not ordered pasta and a main for my dad then we would have left after the foul bruschetta. The pasta was tepid and had little flavour and the sausages my dad had were incredibly ordinary and presented without any effort just chucked on the plate. It felt like the owners had spent all their money on paying for the location and had nothing left over to hire a chef with even minimal cooking skills so they were obliged to hire someone who had never even been near a kitchen to cook the food for them, knowing that the location would attract a few unsuspecting customers each day! It was an absolute disgrace and a travesty!
