The fish had a light, crispy batter, generous portion of chips, and was great value for the price. I would definitely come back to eat here again.

Walked in asked to take a table , unfortunately there wasn’t any that was cleared of previous dinners crockery , eventually cleared but not cleaned , ordered fo... read more Walked in asked to take a table , unfortunately there wasn’t any that was cleared of previous dinners crockery , eventually cleared but not cleaned , ordered food asked for condiments and was informed that that they didn’t offer brown sauce at all . Got a refund left , we have eaten here on many occasions always had a good meal , it’s such a shame that the standards have dropped so low , no clean tables , food scraps on the floor basic condiments not supplied

I have had a number of friends that live/lived in the area, and every one of them has always recommended Yates, as their 'Go to ' Fish and chips outlet. If you are new to the area firstly, let me tell you, that we incomers/ daytrippers, are known to the locals, as Chip eaters Personally, I don 't find this derogatory term. However, when I am this close to the Sea, I am aware that I should be able to buy, the best Fish Chips ever because the fish is so super fresh!? Well, if you are visiting, and if you want the absolute best fish chips in Walton...go to Yates. It 's a Fish Chip shop not to be mistaken with a Michelin restaurant... but, it is the best around, great portions, and a good price. You can eat in or takeaway, but whatever you do, its probably the best Fish Chips that you will ever taste. Highly recommend that you try it.

Amazing food, fresh, not greasy, probably best I have had in the UK in past 10+ years. Well worth the drive out, great table service. When we let them know that our order was wrong, as ‘they thought we did not... read more We wanted an easy family friendly dinner but unfortunately that is not what we got! When we let them know that our order was wrong, as ‘they thought we did not want the sausages’ ordered and asked for it to fixed we ended up bad service and attitude. This ultimately left 2 children without dinner. We won’t be using again which is a shame.
