While some patrons praise the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and flavorful food that comes at a reasonable price, others recount troubling visits marked by uncleanliness, long wait times, and subpar dishes. Issues like overcooked meals, a lack of licensed alcohol, and chaotic service marred the experience for many. Nevertheless, there are diners who appreciate the quality and variety of the menu, signaling the potential for a delightful culinary adventure amidst the inconsistencies. Overall, the restaurant's future depends on resolving these glaring issues.
For the first time they order a takeaway from here, ordering tikka madras, huhn tikka balti and wobblery . was very nice, huh was not over boiled . as tried a few Indian restaurants in harwich!!! they were terrible. will defo...order again.
Although the atmosphere is not very pleasant, especially when they are the only guests and the waiter does not seem very welcoming, we were surprised by the choice of dishes on the menu and the quality of the food. if their choice is limited. on harwich and they are for Indian food, this is the place to go,
Excellent meal, the whole meal tasted fresh and service was very good. beautiful atmosphere and polite waiter. will come back in any case.
Recently changed peculiarities I believe, ordered and not yet here. we ordered dishes, called and were placed for minutes on the desk. then called back and said it had gone, got a text from. just eat them minutes later to say that it had gone. absolutely embarrassing, not order from here. they know a friend who was ordered and not yet let her come.
I used to love the food at Joi, and the banquet deal used to be value for money. The quality isn't what it used to be at all. The banquet used to be now it is whilst I understand that prices go up,...this does seem like a huge jump in just a few years. The portions are smaller and the food isn't as nice. The chicken is dry and tough and has a strange taste to it, the saag paneer had pieces of cheese in it. The bombay potatoes aren't cooked properly and always hard. It's not worth the money any more. It's such a shame because I used to love this place but it's gone downhill. Also they like to tell you minutes and then it takes two hours literally.
