What a great discovery! The staff is incredibly welcoming and creates a lively atmosphere for guests. Not only is the food delicious, but there are also daily specials like country fried steak and chicken with dressing and vegetables. I had a perfect Cuban sandwich. The bar is fully stocked with just about everything you could imagine. We will definitely be returning soon, and I highly recommend giving this place a try.
I recently had lunch at this restaurant and was very pleased with my experience. The price per person was between $10 and $20, which I found to be reasonable for the quality of food and service. I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5, as my cheeseburger with fries was delicious and the spinach and artichoke dip was a standout dish. The service was excellent, with attentive staff and quick service, earning a 5 out of 5 rating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very pleasant, with a cozy and inviting vibe, earning another 5 out of 5 rating. I would definitely recommend trying the cheeseburger with fries and the spinach and artichoke dip at this restaurant.
Dining at this restaurant for dinner was a great experience. The price per person ranged from $1-10, making it very affordable. The food was exceptional, receiving a rating of 5. The service was also top-notch, scoring a 5 as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, also earning a rating of 5. I highly recommend this restaurant for vegetarians, as they have great options available. There is plenty of parking with a free parking lot for guests to use.
I am a former kitchen employee. This is my honest review from inside the establishment. The atmosphere is beautiful and the bar is fully stocked. As a place to stop and have a nice drink, Marti has definitely put in the work to make for a great experience. As for the food and dining, I worked in the kitchen and 90% of the food is frozen and reheated. Nothing truly homemade or made from scratch. When inventory was low or out of something, different products were switched in to make sure things were still available, a great initiative but box mac n cheese should never be sold in a restaurant. I would say it's better to say you're out of something than replace it with an extremely cheap alternative and charge the same price. I also never quite agreed with how things were set to be fried (at a high temp and too long). I understand not wanting undercooked food served, but overcooked is just as bad. Food quality should be taught and managed better. Some things are even cooked in a microwave in this kitchen, which is unfortunate to me. I've worked many commercial kitchens and have never had one in a restaurant before. Pricing is okay, kitchen and restaurant are VERY clean, and some management, specifically Chasity and Jen, were great to work for. As for Tracy, the boss behind it all, she is irrationally disrespectful to her staff. In my personal management experience, you would want your staff to respect you and treat you with dignity, but in order to gain and maintain that, you should do the same. This is not the case with her. The way I was spoken to when my spouses grandmother passed suddenly and I needed time off was inhumane. I also saw Tracy speak to a subordinate extremely aggressively for a dirty sink and dishes that her own sister (who was employed as a dishwasher) had left at close. He only stated to her that he wasn't responsible for it, but she made sure he was berated loudly enough for everyone to hear as a power move or to entice embarrassment or show her power? I'm not sure, but THIS is why I quit the establishment. I could go on with examples, but it would be a novel. Wages are fair for the expectations, as nothing is too difficult to do in that restaurant, but wages are way too low for the disrespect you could receive from superior staff. In summary, I don't recommend working here. I halfway will recommend the food (burger and sandwich options specifically), I absolutely recommend getting a drink. But do be aware of the person your money is going to when you stop by and purchase something.
