Ordered a Mai Tai from the bar and it wasn’t good at all. The big wave burger was burnt and dry. Fries were salty. Not a a good experience. I’ve been to other locations and never had any problems. Maybe just an off night but don’t think I’ll be back to this spot.

There was a gen... read more Islands is somewhere I would not mind being marooned. The interior decor really embraces the island theme, with just the right amount of kitsch. There was a generous outdoor patio with heaters for you to sit and wait for your table. The happy hour hours were very generous in that they were 3p-close and for context I visited on a Sunday. I ordered the Kilauea burger which had black pepper and jalapeños smashed into patty. It had a good amount of spice, but was not over powering. My only knock against the burger was that I felt like it fell apart rather quickly. Which meant I needed napkins on standby. I would definitely eat at Islands again.
