Description

Tucked on the bustling main drag, 1909 Temecula serves bold, seasonal plates and inventive cocktails to crowds who willingly wait. Standouts include shrimp-and-chorizo, yellow curry, empanadas and fresh seafood; portions trend moderate and desserts are sparse. Service is friendly and brisk despite long waits and occasional inconsistencies (small oysters, a mis-tempered dish). Dog-friendly touches, a lively bar, outdoor seating and all-day menus make it ideal for brunches or nights out — expect vibrant, noisy energy rather than a quiet, cozy meal.

I went on a Sunday at about 11am and there was a 35-45 minute wait. It didn't bother me as you can walk around the shops and get a text when your table is ready. There were attentive and very friendly servers! Drinks were yummy, french toast was great and their tuna tartare tasted fresh. Would definitely go again.

I really enjoyed the food here! Tried the bison burger with french fries and I enjoyed it. The chicken and risotto dish was delicious as well. The wait was slightly longer than I would have liked. Enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Our waiter was very hospitable and kind.

It was packed. It type long for us to get our drinks and our order taken. I think the picture that was on Yelp looked better than my French toast. I thought it was pretty good. The oysters we ordered though was pretty sad. It was super small. Everything was alright. I wouldn't say it was the best. I liked that they had a dog menu but they ran out of ther pup cakes.

This place was really good the service was 10/10. The food was really good but the portions are a little small. The yellow curry was so good and the shrimp chorizo was so bomb. The dessert was okay. I wish they had more items on the menu for dessert. I still give this place 5 stars!!!!

Loved the food and the cocktails here! I was in the area at another spot down the street and I met a real sweet couple who apparently work at 1909. We had a great conversation and it was apparent they knew good food and drinks. They recommended the shrimp and chorizo app- get it on rice but ALSO get the baguette. Which of course I did. When I ordered it the bartender who helped me said “oh yeah! Best thing on the menu!” I haven’t tried the rest of the menu but this plate was amazing. It was expertly seasoned- I feel like there might even have been some filé (Cajun spice that typically goes in gumbo) in? Not sure but it was noticeably well made. Cocktails were also great, I can’t remember which one I got but it had a flower garnish which was really lovely- the flower aroma was that of a marigold and the scent really added to the flavor of the drink- more than I would’ve expected. Definitely check it out! Service was also really good even tho it was busy- I sat at the bar.
