We stopped by for something to eat and the fish and chips were ok. Portions were a little on the small side but taste was not bad. However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The lady behind the counter was unfriendly and borderline rude. We won't be returning any time soon. We have been regulars at the Red Mullet in Ashburton for years. The food is always excellent - perfectly cooked chips, fresh fish, and crispy batter. The service is outstanding. We will definitely continue to dine here for many more years. Highly recommend.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, cooked and served by the friendly owner and their family. I highly recommend it.
