Located near an abbey, the restaurant offers a limited selection of pre-made sandwiches and pastries, disappointing those seeking a roast. However, the spacious eatery has good safety measures, friendly service, and delicious food options. The onion sauce was a standout, as were the salted caramel flapjacks. The scones with clotted cream were a great value. Prices were reasonable, albeit a bit pricey for some items. Outdoor seating in beautiful surroundings provided a peaceful dining experience. Overall, the restaurant has improved with excellent table service and a variety of food choices, making it a worthwhile stop, even if not visiting the abbey.

X sausage roll and pasties available to eat at the available items for a sitting restaurant. not sure why they open up to disturb seems a bit a sweat

When visiting the abby for lunch, the sandwiches are prepacked by default, but there was a fair sort, but the cakes were super, I can recommend the salted caramel folding jacket very much! it was also a little expensive, not much change from the coffee, a dose drink, cake and a sandwich, but there was a nice covered area outside to sit and eat and the area is beautiful, so the price worth.

On a Sunday afternoon, we visited this restaurant in the hopes of enjoying a roast before exploring the abbey and its grounds. However, there was no roast option available and only a limited selection of pre-made sandwiches and pastries. The service was lacking in charm and personality from the woman working behind the counter.

The staff at this restaurant were friendly and the cleanliness was impeccable. They offered a great value cream tea, with individually packaged scones, butter, jam, and a pot of clotted cream, served with tea or coffee. There were also many other appetizing options to choose from.

On a rainy afternoon, we found this restaurant to be a great spot to have lunch while waiting for friends. We all agreed that the restaurant felt safe, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious - quite an accomplishment considering we all have different tastes. We quickly ordered a sausage roll, roast, and a vegan dish, each of us wanting something different due to our large breakfasts earlier that morning. My partner said the vegan dish was exceptional, while the roast was tasty with a variety of vegetables, but the onion sauce was the highlight. The sausage roll (with chips) was more than enough to satisfy a hungry teenager. The restaurant had good safety measures in place, with plenty of staff and food that exceeded our expectations. We returned later for tea and cake with friends, and found it to be equally enjoyable at a venue that does the abbey proud!
