Description

In a charming pub setting, patrons report a blend of delightful and disappointing dining experiences. While most praised the warm atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff, the food quality proved inconsistent. Diners enjoyed flavorful Sunday roasts and a welcoming environment, but some noted overcooked sides and chewy meats. The vegetarian options drew criticism, often lacking expected ingredients. However, top-notch service shone through, accommodating dietary needs and ensuring prompt delivery. With gluten-free and dog-friendly options, this establishment remains a cozy, inviting choice, though there’s room for improvement in the kitchen to meet expectations. Overall, it's worth a visit, especially for Sunday lunch.

So disappointed with the vegetarian nut roast which mainly consisted of risotto rice with no discernible nuts in evidence! The meat roast was appreciated especially by the dog. Waiting staff were lovely but won’t be going back!

We had a lovely evening meal with our 10 year old grandson, and we were welcomed and shown straight to our table( even though we were very early). They had a lady who was training but took our drinks and food order efficient. The pub was quite busy, but food arrived swiftly and piping hot. There were a lot of choices on the menu and also a very good specials board. Portions were large. We had a very chilled and enjoyable evening. Special thanks to Georgia and Katie for looking after us, plus the landlord and Olive, the pub dog. Good luck, Georgia, for your new child

I recently enjoyed a fantastic, well-priced Sunday roast at this restaurant. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. As a vegetarian with a serious mushroom allergy, I called ahead to notify them. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they had gone out of their way to provide a pea protein based roast 'chicken' for me, as both vegetarian options contained mushrooms. The manager personally brought the packaging to our table so I could verify the ingredients myself, putting my mind at ease. The meal included a great selection of fresh vegetables that were perfectly cooked. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant, especially for those with dietary restrictions.

We had an amazing meal on Saturday night at this welcoming pub. The menu was great with plenty of options to choose from, and the staff were fantastic. The atmosphere was wonderful. We were staying nearby at Finlake and had seen this place advertised. We are so glad we visited and will definitely be returning.

We didn't have a reservation, but fortunately they were able to accommodate us for a late Sunday lunch. We discovered that they are open until 7pm, unlike many other pubs that close earlier. They offer a good selection of food beyond just roast dinners, including scampi. We all opted for the roast, which was delicious. The roast is available in three sizes and we found it to be very reasonably priced. I ordered the small size, which was plenty for me and came with a large Yorkshire pudding. The service was excellent and our food arrived promptly. I would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be going back!
