Description

The dining experience at the Gurkha restaurant in Dawlish presents a mixed bag of impressions. While some diners rave about the friendly service and tasty Nepalese dishes, others express dissatisfaction with bland flavors and service snags. Many appreciate the generous portions and clean, welcoming atmosphere but suggest the décor needs modernization. Reviews highlight standout menu items like goat curry and naan, yet also mention issues with overcooked lamb momo. Overall, the charm and potential of this family-run establishment shine through, making it a noteworthy stop, but improvements in food quality and service consistency are desired by several patrons.

Ordered for takeaway. Delivery was in good time and the driver was pleasant. Curry was bland and the chicken tasted nasty. Naan bread was nice and the rice is well rice. Bit disappointed that they didn’t give any free poppadoms like all other local restaurants do. Won’t be returning in a hurry. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
