good selection of clearly selected vegan options on a omnivorous menu. I had garlic rice and kathmandu vatmas (soya scrap and cartoffel cooked with garlic, ingwer and spring onions) and my partner had Tarka-Dhal, say bhaji, Aubergine-Bhaji and rice; all dishes were delicious! View all feedback.

The tandoori chicken was dry and lacking in marinade. My husband found the lamb curry to be too greasy and the spice level was not even mildly hot. Overall, it was a disaster and I would not dine there again. View all feedback.
Camping in Dawlish and decided to treat ourselves one night. This was recommended and I have to say the service, food , portions were all excellent. If you asked me if value for money, I’m not so sure as it is very expensive and I have had just as good an experience elsewhere for a lot less. However, if you are away in a new location for first time and it is quaility you are after- I would have no concerns recommending this restaurant.
We have had takeaway from the Gurkha 3 or 4 times. We started to order from them as the standards had dropped at our old Indian in Teignmouth. We have ordered an array of different dishes from really spicy to very mild. We have tried many of their sides starters and naans. The food has always been top notch, and delivery prompt and on time. Only remembered to write this review as I have just placed another order for delivery this evening. Highly recommend
What a great place this is to eat in Dawlish. This family run business is great with great staff and a great menu. We opted for 2 Nepalese dishes, chicken and lentil and goat and potato curry with rice and bread and a side of onion bhaji all of it tasted delicious with no greasy film or aftertaste. A must try if you are in Dawlish or the area
