It has been 35 years since I last ate their... read more I used to live in Newton Abbot in my previous life and would often have takeaways from Double Luck with my friends. It has been 35 years since I last ate their food, but recently decided to give it a try again. To my delight, the food was just as excellent as I remembered. The spring rolls were still large and delicious, the Special Fried Rice was packed with chicken, ham, and char sui pork, and the Chow Mein was one of the best I've ever had. The Sweet and Sour Sauce was also perfect. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable for the quality. Despite living 240 miles away, I would definitely make the trip back for their delicious food. The delivery to Kingsteignton was quick and efficient. Overall, I would give Double Luck a 5-star rating. Cheers to the amazing food and service!

While I don't enjoy speaking negatively about businesses, the quality of the food here is concerning. I fear that someone may become seriously ill if this is the standard of food being served. The lady I spoke with on the phone was helpful in arranging a refund, which is one positive aspect of their customer service. However, the quality of the food itself is truly awful. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant and I hope that the chef/owners take steps to improve the quality and smell of the food being produced in their kitchen. As a basic standard, curry should not be grey.

Had the Veggie Chow Mein and Bean Curd in Satay Sauce. Stunning!!! The chips are to die for and the young woman behind the counter was friendly, engaging and witty. Top marks to all!

We used to really enj... read more Terrible special curry and spare ribs, chicken well it was listed as chicken) was tiny processed cubes, sauce was harsh watery and bitter. We used to really enjoy their special curry but has changed totally. Spare ribs had a red sauce which had no taste and was like water. Will not visit again or recommend.
