When... read more Before the pandemic, this takeout/restaurant was a favorite spot and used to be very busy during lunchtime. However, it has since been sold to new owners. When we visited today, the restaurant was nearly empty. Despite this, the restaurant was exceptionally clean, the service was fast and friendly, and the cod and chips my wife and I ordered were fresh, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. I believe this place deserves support. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo of the food, but the picture on this page does not accurately represent what we were served.

Actually went into Jackson's the other fish and chip shop near the Witherspoon's it was all OAP's getting a cheap meal I'm not a big fan off this why should we... read more Actually went into Jackson's the other fish and chip shop near the Witherspoon's it was all OAP's getting a cheap meal I'm not a big fan off this why should we pay full price and the OAP's get a cheap meal so turned back round and walked out tried this Fish and chips restaurant never used it before so ordered Haddock and chips with curry sauce it was the best haddock in years really flavoursome and perfect chips proper chip shop curry sauce

Ever since the new owners to... read more I recently tried the standard large sausage and chips at this restaurant, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Ever since the new owners took over, the chips have been delicious with a generous portion size. However, today (4th), I was lucky to find a chip with any potato inside, as most were just crispy shells. Additionally, the sausage could have been cooked a bit more. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this establishment.
