Was Walter Holzapfel at Pancetta a mag?
Many Hotel restaurants are poor. They have a captive audience so they don't have to try very hard. This one is not in that category. I travel to Northern NJ frequently and this is my go to place anywhere near Teaneck/ Hackensack area. The menu is a combination of modern Italian with a few traditional items. The service is always fantastic.(Thank you Leotilde and Felicia) this is one of the top restaurants in the area... View all feedback.

What Juliana M dislikes about Pancetta:
Service was great very attentive and polite. Food was great for a hotel restaurant we ordered both off the regular menu and bar menu. Everything came out on time, well presented and warm enough. Husband's burger was perfectly cooked and our friends loved their dishes (rissotto with a braised shank and salad). Made a great martini too! View all feedback.

Very good food. Menu could be a bit more broad but overall always fresh food and good service. Try the salad bar! The pasta bar there is pretty tasty.

The food and service were both excellent. Ther prices were very reasonable. The chimichurri chicken was excellent, the Chicken Cobb Salad was excellent as was the Steelhead Salmon over a bed of cold quinoa. The salt and pepper shrimp was very flavorful.

Excellent service! The food was good but salmon was a bit drenched in sauce and not really warm. Short ribs were excellent.

The overall consensus on the restaurant is mixed. Some diners found the food to be excellent, such as the chimichurri chicken, Chicken Cobb Salad, and Steelhead Salmon. The service was also praised for being courteous and attentive. On the other hand, some customers experienced inattentive waitstaff, high waiting times, and average food quality. The restaurant was described as crowded and noisy by some, while others found the upscale decor and atmosphere to be enjoyable. The service received mixed reviews, with some customers receiving excellent service while others were less satisfied. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential, but consistency in service and food quality may be lacking.

Great atmosphere and staff. Delicious food with strong service. My favorite ‘go-to’ place for “traveler’s meals”.

Happy hour was listed on Open Table but it doesn’t start until the first week of March 2024. However the manager honored the happy hour memory. The food was fantastic and really enjoyed it! Would definitely go back again!

A good option for a hotel restaurant, Pancetta offers an Italian menu along with a respectable wine list and a nice selection at the bar. During my stay at the Marriott, I decided to have dinner there. I chose to sit at the bar, but there was ample seating available in the restaurant. The hostess and bartender were both welcoming and friendly. I ordered the Margherita pizza and an Old Fashioned. The pizza was decent—pretty standard for a Margherita—but the Old Fashioned was spot on. Overall, this is a great choice if you're at the hotel and looking for a convenient meal without the need to venture out.

Leotilde and Felicia took wonderful care of my group and it reminded me of why I like to entertain customers here. Great Food, an excellent bar, fantastic service and it reminds me of Cheers where everyone knowns your name. More often than not, I stick to the pasta dishes which are fantastic. The steaks are great, as well.

Bartenders are friendly! Food comes quickly! Very spacious and the lighting is just right! If you like gorgonzola definitely try the Arancini di Riso!

For a hotel restaurant, it's very good! There's an Italian inspired food menu and a wine and cocktail list. Surprised to see arancini on the appetizer menu. It's served with a Gorgonzola sauce, instead of the usual marinara sauce. They are a little small, golf ball sized, yet filling. The fried calamari, gulf shrimp, artichoke, and pepperoni accompanied with marinara sauce appetizer is more like a meal. The Bloody Mary was a sneaky potent potable. The atmosphere and ambiance is inviting. Professional and gracious staff. Felicia was exceptional.

The food is Ok, not comparable to what I typically expected from restaurants within Marriott hotel. The dinner menu I was given is totally different than what I can find online either restaurant web site or yelp. I came here because I was on business trip and I did not rent a car and this was the only restaurant nearby Marriott and Hilton Hampton Inn/Homewood. I was able to kill time by playing on my phone like writing this yelp comments because the waiter or waitress all quickly passing by me without asking a word even when I was waiting for my next course meal. The restaurant was almost full so I guess this might be a good restaurant from local standard? The lower than expected service might be caused by the lack of shared work among the waiters/waitresses/bus person. Most diners here are for businesses or family get together. Even though the diners were very engaged with family or friends talking, most were still looking for being serviced.
