We were driving back form our weekend skiing and after being tourned down by a fully booked restaurant, we stopped here by chance. We were lucky as they were actually booked out but they did find a table for us (8 people! that was still...free for an hour. The service was really good and friendly (our waiter was a very polite and nice polish guy , the food was really tasty and well presented, the atmosphere cosy and... View all feedback.
What Mariagiulia Ferri doesn't like about SeeEck:
Vroeger was het elke avond vol en druk met buitenlandse gasten maar ook locals.Nu wij er waren was het erg rustig ondanks dat het weekend was.De kaart is zo lang ik me kan herinneren hetzelfde met typische Oostenrijkse gerechten.Kwaliteit is goed, zeer constant, nooit klachten over gehad.Je kunt hier met 2 personen savonds prima eten incl drankjes voor zo'n 30 euro. SeeEck was recommended as a good restaurant so we booked a table. The ambiance is ok and the food is ok. But nothing that you could say is special. The waiter we found gave the impression it was to much to wait on the table...and his attitude was surprisingly very arrogant, especially as we know Austrians to be friendly and welcoming. The night was ruined by the arrogant waiter when it came to paying the bill. The bill was €138.80, and we paid €140, and told the waiter to keep the change and we about to leave a tip on the table. The waiter then returned the change of €1.20 from the €140, we said no it is ok, he then replied it is ok with me looked up and shot everyone a very disgusted look and walked away. We were all surpisred by his attitude and his assumption that the €1.20 was his tip, and that it was not enough. If he hadn’t have been so arrogant and assumed that his tip was only €1.20 then he would have seen the tip which we had left on the table. Because of his poor attitude and service, we took the tip and the returned €1.20 change and left disgusted. We couldn’t find the manager to talk about the situation with as we did look for him on the way out. Very disappointed and shocked by the attitude and demeanour of the waiter. To be honest the food and service we have found was far better at the Campsite in Achenkirch, than at SeeEck.
We prepared an appetite from Pertisau to Achenkirk. The first weekend of the season Achenkirk was quiet and we had limited opportunities for lunch. We agreed to go a last corner before we give up and thank Deity we did as it was... Lake Eck. The very friendly waitress delivered an iPad loaded with Google lens to translate the menu, a very practical solution as it changes daily. I had a beautiful herbal curry with coconut milk, a real gift for a vegan who does not eat well in a lot of continental Europe. My sister had spinach dumplings that she loved. Unfortunately we had to hurry for the ferry, otherwise my sister could have been tried by the very tasty apple strudel! Very recommended.
I write reviews rarely, but this restaurant is worth a 1000 words. Really great local cuisine, not too expensive. Perfect.
Wij hebben hier 2x gegeten. Een echt knus Oostenrijks restaurant. De platter voor 2p is een echte aanrader!
