Beer mussels. Don't just ask, they were amazing. This is my kind of space on Tip Hill. The rest is for college kids and mid life crisis. Wheelers is relaxing with delicious food. Not known for mixed drinks, so keep it easy and type a few. I'll probably be there myself.

Great prices. Drinks, app, dinner for 2 under $50. The cook was wonderful. He has our salad for two without asking. The shells were perfectly cooked. Finished with garlic bread and creamy butter sauce. My husband got the burger and the cook brought his own speciality sweet mango and honey mustard sauce. Come back!

With me and 25 family members from the city, we came to Wheeler on Friday. Spoke with the owner several times before regarding reservations and she was phenomenal! When we arrived, we realized that they had a more limited menu than expected. That was a complete mistake on my part! Lisa and her staff were just amazing and told us that we let them know what we wanted and if they had, they would do it for us! And they did! 5 children who wanted unfried fish and fries (which were the best fries I had for a long time! Hot, fresh, crispy and perfectly seasoned! were suddenly butter noodles, Mac-Ne cheese, chicken tits offered... we were so remarkable of the lengths they went to make sure we all had what we wanted! We were placed in a bar area that was able to accommodate our big family and had assigned a server only to our mass. Joe, our server, was also amazing, attentive and able to navigate our huge amount, remember who ordered what and when and not a single mistake. My family holds a midwinter reunion every year and always try to find a place where we can visit and hang and catch up and Wheeler's was the perfect place for it! Wheeler's will definitely be an annual tradition for us and honestly the staff, food and price were worth it. Can't recommend this place enough!

Ate here for dinner on a Friday night. Although the menu is limited to what was up on the board fish fry Friday, pork chop, mac and cheese, and various fired sides, I will be coming back! Wife had the fish said it was the best she has ever had with a perfect, non greasy crisp and I had both the mac and cheese and pork chop with both being phenomenal. Great drinks, and a laid back crowd, which can be very difficult to find on Tipp Hill any night, let alone on a Friday. We will be definitely going back again!

Warm inviting atmosphere. Friendly regulars welcomed a couple of Tarheels with stories of Cuse sports and fly fishing. We felt welcome enough to stay a long while. Great place for laughs and beers. Looking forward to getting back there soon
