The dining experience at Syrakus is always fantastic. Whenever I visit, I make sure to order food from there. Not only is the food delicious, but their customer service is also top-notch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Layla's Authentic Spanish:
I am now convinced that the only way this restaurant gets good reviews is if it's from the owner's family. The food was terrible - the rice was old and not fresh, and the stuffed dish tasted like salt. There was nothing authentic about this place, and the waitress was very rude. View all feedback.
I am unsure if the previous reviews are motivated by jealousy or an attempt to portray the owner in a negative light. Personal matters should be kept out of food reviews, as it serves no purpose. It seems insecure to include personal issues in a review of food. The food at this restaurant has consistently been great, with delicious flavors and moist dishes. The service is friendly and accommodating, even when dealing with rude customers. I do not personally know the owner, but based on my experiences, I can attest to the quality of the food and service. This establishment will continue to thrive due to their excellent food and service. I have heard that the chef is one of the best in town, though some may not appreciate that fact. I encourage others to try the food for themselves and form their own opinions, rather than rely on judgmental reviews. This remains my favorite Spanish restaurant in Syracuse, as I have tried others and found them lacking in comparison. Enjoy your meal and share your own review to help others see how truly great this restaurant is.
I highly recommend this restaurant. As a Cuban-American who grew up three hours away from Miami, I can say that this is the best Spanish food I have had since moving to New York four years ago.
I spent $20 on what was supposed to be a large pepper steak combo, but instead received mostly sweet and salty peppers with less than half a spoonful of meat and a large quantity of stale rice.

I ordered a $15 dish with sour cream, but I did not receive any sour cream, only dry food. Despite this, I still gave them a tip, but only because I forgot. Would I rate this restaurant a 0?
