The Chicken Vindaloo was very good, spicy with depth of flavor. The Naan with chilies was special, loved it! And, the staff was friendly too. Will definitely visit again whenever in town.
Worth to visit. Best Indian restaurant in the Syracuse area. The buffet is amazing and had good collections of veg/non veg curries, biryanis, dosa and starters at very reasonable prize. The service is amazing and owner is a very nice and professional person!!! 5 stars to this place.
Went there with a coworker for dinner. I enjoyed the buffet and tried everything in it. Overall very pleased. Coworker was from India so he helped me review he said it wasn’t bad which in his book meant they did a nice job. my take was it was very good. Moderate spice/hotness nice buffet variety to get a sampling of many items. Per my friend it was more “northern India” type items. I will definitely come back next time I’m here for work! Service was excellent and people great!
This was our first time dining at an Indian restaurant in Syracuse, NY, and Dosa Grill exceeded my expectations. The staff are all Indian, which adds an authentic vibe, and everyone was very friendly. I would give it five stars if Dosa, Uttapam, Idli, and Vada were not served with the same sides. Aside from that, it definitely deserves five stars. We also called ahead to ask about halal meat, and the receptionist confirmed that only the lamb and goat are halal.
We visited the lunch buffet, which was open until 3 PM, and we were very pleased with the experience. The food was outstanding and flavorful, offering a nice selection of both chicken and vegetarian dishes like vegetable pakora, chicken curry, coconut chicken, naan, spinach paneer, and more. The mango pudding was a delightful treat for dessert. We didn't sample the salads, but the lemonade was refreshing, and the chai was quite satisfactory. With prices just under $12 for abundant, fresh, and authentic Indian cuisine, it was a great value. The service was also commendable.
