This was my first stop upon moving to Sylvan Lake. I liked the name and thought it was right on the water. It's across the street but still has a nice view from the rooftop deck (not that I saw it!) Everyone else had their patio open on the day that I stopped, however, Pier 7 did not open theirs until the next day. We went to Pier 7 in search for sea food, we decided to get only appetizers I had the coconut shrimp, and the other half had calamari, we ordered fries on the side. All delicious, crispy, fresh out of the fryer. I mean it's still pubish food, but it was tasty. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the view. Also our waitress was really great, and on top of things ;)
Food was delicious and service was very good. Think they had troubles in the kitchen because some dishes came out later than most but server was very apologetic and kept drinks filled during the wait. We had a group of 10 so totally understandable. Restaurant itself is nice and welcoming. Definitely go back again.

Everyone else had their patio open on the day that I stopped, however, Pier 7 did not open theirs until the next day. It was a stunning day out, beautiful and hot, and I didn't feel like sitting inside so I just had a quick bowl of the Seafood Chowder and a glass of wine. The Chowder was good (salmon), however, I did have to ask to have it heated up. The wine was reasonably priced. They do have great daily specials for meals, appies and drinks so I will return again to try out more of their menu - but it will be on the deck!
Last night my son and I decided to check this place out for a bite and maybe watch the game. Waitress on the left hand restaurant type side was a bit busy so we decided to go on the lounge side where there was only 1 other table. We sat and waited for almost 10 minutes without anyone taking our drink order. The waitress from the other side came in to see if anyone had helped us yet since she had sat us. She apologized, grabbed us a water and went to get our waitress. Finally our server graced us with her presence and seemed VERY annoyed that we had not decided on something to eat yet. She then went behind the bar and fixed her hair in the mirror and took a phone call on her cell phone and never returned to our table. Normally we would have just decided to leave and never come back but we were hungry and tired so we just decided to try our luck on the restaurant side. We were immediately given a booth by the window and waited on attentively. Our waitress even offered to buy us a beer to try to make our experience better. The food was actually pretty great so we will be back but we won't even bother with the lounge next time.
