The restaurant is located in the City of Sydney RSL.We have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times and both times it was excellent. The last time there was a group of nine, we were meeting to arrange a cruise next year. We were seated in a long table near the window, when AJ, the host saw us he immediately asked if we would like to move to a large round table so we could all talk more easily. What Kurt Dickens doesn't like about Villaggio on George:
I've walked past this restaurant many times. Being close to Chinatown and upstairs in an RSL I thought Meh! Well stupid me, I decided to go up the slowest lifts in Sydney and entered a huge dining space. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive and the menu is extensive with great meals and the price is so inexpensive. We choose Spring Rolls, Sanbei Chicken (no bone) and Fried rice. The meal was absolutely delicious... View all feedback.
This restaurant is the best hidden gem in the city! I absolutely adore their meatballs and meatball cakes. It's a shame that they are not currently open during the pandemic, otherwise I would stock up on their delicious food to keep in my fridge.
This restaurant is situated on the second floor of the RSL. While I have always walked past it before, I never had the chance to try it out until now when our entire team decided to dine there. Most of the tables are large enough to accommodate more than 6 people, making it a great option for big events. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Shanghai cuisine that is delicious. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner, who is from Shanghai. He was very friendly and even gave us a complimentary dish of roast pork after our meal. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
The dining experience was enjoyable and offered good value for money. However, there was an error with our order, which we only discovered after already eating some of it. We called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake, but the manager, who had limited English proficiency, initially seemed willing to replace the incorrect dish and provide the correct one later. Unfortunately, they never rectified the error and ended up giving our order to another table. This was a disappointing lapse in basic customer service.
The place is pretty good. I ordered the zhaziang mian, who sniffed the fried vernacular and laced the noodle. the prices are fair and the portion sizes are pretty good. will definitely be back to taste the rest of the dishes
