Brilliant food. Best miso soup I've had in a long time. Advertised as casual Japanese dining but the food is very classy. Will be frequenting this place for a quick delicious meal. View all feedback.
What Syble Gleichner doesn't like about Umami:
Seemed pretty busy and was really close to my workplace, so I wanted to try it. Order salmon roll, Soft Shell Crab Roll and Tempura Udon. Rice on salmon rolls almost uncooked, algae is in poor quality. Soft Shell Crab was better, but not very good. Udon was okay, tasted like MSG. View all feedback.
This picturesque hole in-the-wall restaurant can be easily missed by the inexperienced eye. For someone who has advised the streets of Sydney on a Friday evening on a Friday evening for a place to eat, my husband and I had to keep our eyes open wide to find a place to eat. Fortunately, we found this place. They have limited seats and the place is a bit tight, but that is expected from a Japanese restaurant. Since it was a bit tight, the place had this intimate feeling for it. Your menu had a good selection of food to choose from. I did not order much that day, but I remember that her miso soup was one of the best I've ever tasted. I will return to this place to try your other dishes. The staff are very inviting and also serve quickly, plus with a smile on their faces, which made the entire feed experience, which made more pleasant.
Great food with reasonable prices. The only problem is that it hikes to get the food out. I waited for 30 minutes for our Bento box to come while there is only a customer in the restaurant at this moment. But overall it would love to come back to the delicious food :)
Very nice little cozy Japanese restaurant. Always visit to get your Katsu box that has a good price. The Downslide Point is the slow service and long wait until the food comes out. But overall you really have nice food and their meals is great. Right to try!
I always wanted to visit Umami because it looked like a sweet and beautiful restaurant ... it turns out that it looks sweet, that's only from the outside. To start with it, the service was inconsistent and the plates and the confusion of the other customers, which had been bat on the table for 20 minutes, until another customer asked for them to clean it. Second, they did not even gave our orders, but twice, but the wait was terrible, I had to wait 20 minutes (I interrupted it), because my court to arrive, and they have completely forgotten my friend. It also seemed to give many things that happen behind the kitchen, as in the moment we came in, and sat down, we heard things like plates and other things that fall down, then it sounded as if a person sounded like some Time down a bit chaotic. Will definitely come back here.
