The place for a quick treat. I confess myself a frequent patron of this outlet. Selling many different types of delicious-looking) cupcakes though it does, I can't seem to stop myself from ordering the same one every time! The Red Velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting $4) is just a perfect mix of thick and rich red velvet cake, and the cream cheese frosting compliments the cake beautifully. What Milan Gutkowski doesn't like about The Cupcake Bakery:
For some reason I was in love with The Cupcake Bakery a few years ago. There was one close to where I worked at the time so I suppose easy access had something to do with it too. They’re not bad but the cupcakes are very very sweet. Pretty much just a pile of sugar on top. During the celebrations in sydney we passed the window and were taken with the look like the small cupcakes. we went back the afternoon and got a few red velvet and salted caramel cupcakes. they were jum. the icing could have been better as it tasted like mock cream instead of a butter icing.
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_from this place makes a series of different cupcake flavors that are beautiful, but found them a little dry and quite expensive, would say they are beautiful for beautiful occasions, but have better cakes. we have red velvet, rocky street, sticky date pudding and cookies and cream, was favorite red velvet
What a sweeter exit. loved the Mocha coffee. the cupcakes look beautiful. I just wish the cream up was less granular subtler. a place to try safely to pamper them sweet tooth.
Wife and I shared a red cupcake. it was dry and a little heavy. the icing was too sweet. Maybe they make their cupcake, but I prefer the light, fluffy and damp cupcake.
Utterly delighted to find The Cupcake Bakery whilst walking down to the Rocks given they all closed down in Melbourne years ago. I've had a soft spot for them ever since they did my birthday cake one year which was a giant tower of red velvet cupcakes. Naturally that's my favourite type but you should also try vanilla vanilla. Deliciously moist with a wonderful buttercream. What more can you ask for?
