I love cider and came here because, well, of their name and the fact that yes, they do in fact have a nice cidermenu. Was hard to find due to a complete lack of signage on the street, but just know that it's inside Rydges. Once we finally found it, we found the atmosphere to be relaxed and chill, food was solid, staff were great, and everything was reasonably priced. Can't ask for anything more. Awesome place that I... What User doesn't like about The Cidery:
Food in the Cidery was average at best - it took a long time to arrive and was at best average when it did arrive. There are numerous choices in the shopping center downstairs that are cheaper and equally as good (if not better) quality. View all feedback.
The restaurant is located in the beautiful World Square CBD, making it an ideal spot. It is a large and clean establishment with friendly and quick service. The pub meals are flavorful and generously sized. The cocktails are creative and the beers are good, making it worth a visit. It is a spacious place, perfect for dining with a large group of friends. We tried the pork belly bites and pumpkin sides as appetizers, and enjoyed the lamb shank (a bit dry but still good), baked salmon, and delicious gnocchi for our main courses. We will definitely be returning!
I found this place to be perfect for enjoying a late night drink in a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was bustling with activity and the staff were prompt and well-coordinated, though a bit more friendliness would have enhanced the overall experience. The drinks were excellent and served with lovely presentation.
Firstly, if you're a fan of cider, this is definitely the place for you. I personally enjoyed the variety offered. They also have a good selection of beers. The food menu is not extensive, but they offer some upscale items that are a step above typical bar food. The pizzas we ordered were delicious and came out quickly. The live music was decent, although the combination of live music and music videos playing was a bit odd. However, I appreciate when local artists are featured.
Friendly eatery that has a nice balance between classic pub and modern bar. Food is decent as expected and live music is a definite plus, considering it's dying out in the CBD.
As the residential bar at The Rydges whilst visiting Sydney, The Cidery was my 'go to ' before heading out. What I liked most about The Cidery is the great range of ciders on tap. I 'm not much of a beer guy so this was a welcome change. The decor inside is industrial styled with naked light bulbs and extremely comfortable leather wing back chairs. Next time I 'm in Sydney, whether I stay at the Rydges next or not, I will be back to The Cidery for sure.
