Description

Tucked down a side street in North Willoughby, this cozy café is a local favorite for meticulously brewed, consistently strong coffee and warm, personable service. The compact, seasonal menu offers standout brunch fare—from yuzu hollandaise eggs Benedict and bacon-and-egg rolls to chicken katsu, lamb flatbread and lush muesli—plus freshly baked muffins. Outdoor tables and a dog-friendly vibe add charm, though indoor seating is limited and weekends can involve waits.

This café truly prioritizes coffee, making it a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and aficionados. One of my personal favorites is the Avo Egg roll, paired perfectly with a hash brown. It's simply beyond description—I've yet to find anything better elsewhere. You must give it a try! To top it all off, the customer service is top-notch; they are very welcoming and attentive to COVID-19 safety measures.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We brought our puppy along, who still needed to learn proper café manners, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we could enjoy our delicious coffee and croissant. It was the best coffee we've found north of the bridge. Thank you, everyone! Alby had a wonderful time!

They should've just called it S Cafe instead, as it's a truly small cafe. Seating for about 8 inside, a few bigger tables outside. You'll have to be very lucky to get a table without waiting on the weekend. It was my lucky day. The eggs beni looked pretty standard when it turned up, but the yuzu has definitely made the hollandaise more interesting. The hidden gem was the fluffy nicely toasted sourdough underneath. The coffee was pretty smooth yet had a punch. Service was friendly.
